Touareg

I think there is no need to explain what on earth is happening. But that's what happened:
London - England:Engineers, Volkswagen personnel and bemused passers-by watched open-mouthed as a VW Touareg V10 TDI towed a 155-ton Boeing 747 down the auxiliary runway at Dunsfold airport, 60km south-west of London – not once but seven times.Read More

The C'MONS

I think everyone is familiar with this band, specially as now they are featured in Vauxhall Corsa's advert. I found them very amusing although I am sure not everybody shares the same views with me, but everyone is different, right?

Anyway,I have made some t-shirts and tops which are available for purchase,if anybody is interested. I will be making some more tried to keep them simple to keep the costs down and make it more affordable for everyone, consindering we are going towards christmas and presents and gifts all over the place :)

So,feel free to have a look and buy some stuff,I will be adding some other designs later on when I get some time.

The C'MONS

Cheers.

The British Motor Show

The other day we finally went down for the motor show, was very interesting and enjoyable. It would have been much better if there weren't so many kids around!

There were some really hot cars, some very innovative and some very boring and cheap.I was looking forward for the new Corsa, but didn't seem to be much of a threat to major competitor, Clio III.

anyway,if you have time go down there and pay them a visit, you won't regret it.

Haven't seen this before

I am sure everybody is aware of the government's tough regulations to ban driving while you are on the phone, but to my surprise, yesterday as I was coming back from post office, guess what I saw?

Yes a driver on his mobile phone and driving! might think this is not surprising as we see these people everywhere, but there was something generally different with this one.He wasn't driving any ordinary vehicle,he was driving a Tractor, yes a farm tractor! I don't know when us people are going to start to respect others,no matter if we have any respects for ourselves or not. It's the same with people going down NO ENTRY roads, and when you tell them they pretend they weren't aware of the fact. The same with people that never stick to speed limit, these limits are there for a reason first; second, what the rush would be for as you can avoid it by leaving your house 10 minutes earlier.

The conclusion is, us as a society have always been selfish and never think of anybody else, who knows when are we going to act like responsible people, hope when we realise wouldn't be too late.

Orson Live in Norwich

Last night we went to see Orson the new hot band of 2006 from sunny Hollywood. They were quite good actually I liked it. There was a couple of support bands as well, like the Undercut and the 747s. To be honest I am not going to be surprised if the 747s make it big time as they were cool.

Although I am a bit deaf now but was a very good night and advise to those who like to see any of the above mentioned bands, don't hesitate.Orson drummer Chris was super cool, the same with the guitar player Kevin, so if you have the time and opportunity give it a go,won't regret it.

You are F/Hired?

You are Fired!!! I think everybody every now and then has watched this program. I didn't watch this series from the beginning but suddenly as there wasn't nothing else to watch joined the rest of the viewers. Liked most of it aside from the unreasonable sacking of people while the ones who deserved to get the sack survived. The biggest shock was Michelle winning the show, I kinda had a feeling that she is going to win, as Alan Sugar is very predictable and can't show how he feels for someone. Without a doubt that Ruth was the right choice but she wasn't the one Sir Alan wanted. She was very upfront, very self-confident and found her way to final with fighting the other candidates, unlike Michelle who got to final just by being lucky and being in winning teams. If I want to be fair, she never did anything in the tasks but good on her she knew how to play the family card when was needed by Sir Alan.

If you have missed any bits of the show,BBC gives you the chance to watch it online now. Thanks BBC.

President: Compare :)

Even for someone like me who is not interested in politics,is important when we talk about my country and the people governing the poor country of ours. I found this cartoon very realistic about Mr. P.,shame that he has even given more opportunity to westerners to think we are bunch of dirty scruffy people.

I don't know if you saw the muslim guy who posed as a suicide bomber in London or not,but they all look different, dirty and disgusting. There is something about them that I cannot digest, call me racist or narrow-minded but why on earth Muslisms (not the real ones) try to portrait a bad picture.

The show will take place in ExCel centre from 20th to 30th July 2006. The tickets are fairly priced, £8 during the week and £12 for the weekend, you can get theatre tickets for 5 quid as well.

HSBC

I have decided to share my experiences with you guys as you might have gathered by now, although most of are negative views but realistic ones. Those of you who know me, would know that we were looking for our first house and all the related matters. The main and the most important one is and I think always will be finding a mortgage provider. As we had account with HSBC, we decided to get information from them in the first place. Everything looked very easy and achievable, easily made an appointment to see the mortgage advisor, informed the lady of all our situation and what has happened and what are the plans. As we were both new in our jobs, we asked if does that affect anything or not,but we were told NO. Something that I think everybody knows nowadays is,if you buy a house for less than £120,000 you are exempt from Stamp Duty (step taken from Government to help first time buyers to get into property ladder), surprisingly our mortgage advisor wasn't aware of this fact.
After our initial appointment we saw the same lady some more times and she said that she would keep in touch to see how are we getting on with finding a house. She did stick to her promise by calling us every week to see how we did, but when we found the house which we thought was good enough for us, and got in touch with the bank to make a formal application, on the evening before the appointment I received a phone call that as we have not been in our jobs long enough HSBC cannot help us in this case. As you can guess I was so P***ed off that was unbelievable and when I asked how come after coming to bank so many times nobody told about this, I was told that the lady we saw is not actually Mortgage advisor. How would you feel if you were in our shoes?Taking time off from work to go to see someone that has go nothing to do with what you are asking!!!
We have managed to sort our mortgage now and thanks God it's not with HSBC but you think they are good and efficient but it's just a show. I even made a complaint about them but as you can predict nobody got in touch with me,luckily I didn't even need to go back to them.
As an advice for all of you who are thinking of these matters, I believe even if you pay a bit more to get a personal mortgage advisor, it's worth it; saves your time definitely and also you get to see more options.
