Roman Polanski's The Pianist has taken the best picture and best director award at the 54th Baftas. It was thought that Chicago or Gangs of New York would be the best film in Baftas but,The Pianist won the prize. Nicole Kidman,won the best actresss award and Zeta Jones the supporting actors prize.If you would like to read the whole article, do check the BBC.
